Advancing Global Impact Through Education & Collaboration

At the Haitian Nurses Educators Association (HNEA), we strengthen communities by educating and equipping professionals across industries, fostering global partnerships, and delivering culturally responsive resources where they’re needed most.

Community Empowerment

HNEA collaborates with institutions across the U.S., U.K., Caribbean, Africa, and beyond to provide training, equipment, and engagement strategies that promote equity, leadership, and sustainable change in underserved communities.

CEU & Training Courses
We offer Continuing Education Units (CEU) and training courses focused on holistic nutrition, culinary wellness, and community care. These sessions are designed for caregivers, health professionals, and community members interested in enhancing their knowledge in evidence-based nutrition, meal preparation, and chronic disease management. Courses are developed in collaboration with certified holistic nutritionists and partners like Perfect Blends LLC to promote long-term health and well-being.

Community Food Pantry
Our Community Food Pantry provides access to fresh, nutritious, and culturally relevant food for underserved families, seniors, and individuals with special needs. In collaboration with local partners and holistic nutrition experts, we go beyond food distribution—offering educational resources and meal planning support to promote lasting food security and improved health outcomes.

Adult Day Services
We offer a safe and engaging space for adults and seniors to receive daytime care, companionship, and access to health and wellness resources. Our program includes therapeutic activities, culturally inspired meals prepared by holistic chefs, and educational workshops for both clients and caregivers. These services are designed to support independence, nutrition, and overall quality of life.

Meals on Wheels
Our Meals on Wheels service delivers freshly prepared, gourmet meals directly to the homes of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those managing chronic health conditions. Each dish is designed by a certified holistic nutritionist to meet dietary needs while honoring cultural flavors. Our goal is to ensure that every client has access to nourishing, balanced meals that support their health and well-being.

ESL & GED Prep
We support community empowerment through English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED preparation services. These programs help individuals achieve educational and career goals, build confidence, and become more self-sufficient. Lessons are culturally responsive and often paired with additional services, such as nutrition education or job readiness, to foster holistic development.

Translator Services
Our translator services ensure inclusive communication across all our programs. Whether for medical appointments, educational settings, or service navigation, we provide reliable, multilingual support to eliminate language barriers and promote equal access for non-English-speaking individuals and families.

Medical Transport (NEMT)
We provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) to help seniors and individuals with mobility or health challenges attend medical appointments, therapy, and community services. Our drivers are trained to provide compassionate care, ensuring safe and timely travel for clients who rely on consistent access to healthcare.

Supportive Housing
Our Supportive Housing program offers safe, stable living environments for individuals facing housing insecurity, chronic illness, or special needs. In addition to shelter, residents have access to meal services, case management, and wellness education—including nutritional culinary classes developed by holistic health professionals—to support sustainable independence and improved quality of life.
